Quick Tank Re-do

While hunting for my slacks, I found this beauty!

Cute little summer dress!  I knew I'd use it as a tank, but when I got home and threw it on over a pair of jeans, it was just too bulky and didn't hang right.

Solution?

Cut about 3 inches off the bottom and wa-la!

Layered a white tank underneath and "bring-on-summer!"

Put Together Tuesday #3

So I read in the March InStyle that pleated slacks were back in...and after scoping out a few of the pics, I decided to go for it.

I was on a mission.  Black, front-pleated slacks.  And I scored a pair at one of my fav thrift stores for...get this...$1.91...with an additional 1/2 off!!!  Yup.  Thats a pair of slacks for less than $1.

This is what I came up with.

A wild take on a business look.  In fact, throw a white button down over the tank and tuck it in...you're good for the office!

I love how they make my legs look super long!

Lets break it down:

Tank-TJ Maxx $3

Slacks-thrifted $0.95

Ankle boots-Cato's $7.99

Elastic Belt-freebie (came with a shirt I bought)

Bracelets-gift from my mother

Long necklace-Cato's $6.99

Pearls-gift from my husband

Total look: $18.93

Put Together Tuesday turned Whatever Wednesday

I had a great otufit to share today for Put Together Tuesday, but...the batteries in the camera went dead. 

Bummer.

So to improvize...I'm going to do Whatever Wednesday a little early (pick up some batteries on the way home tomorrow) and post Put Together Tuesdays tomorrow.  Can you dig it?

So this weeks Whatever Wednesday is a cool activity the kiddo's did at school.

Paperclip Fishing!

Here is Sam trying to catch a "big one".  All it is is a magnet at the end of a string on a pole and paperclips on fish cut outs!  Then they get to "fish" for a fish!

The BIG CATCH!!!

What a great activity!!  Easy and quick to put together and easy and fun for little "fishermen"!

Work'n on a new room....

So I've mentioned before that we turned Jack's room into a playroom and the boys are now sharing a room...lots a fun so far trying to get them to sleep and get a new routine down...uh huh.

But the upside is I get to re-decorate the room!  I decided on a robot theme and Jack approves...very important.

First things first...sleeping arrangements.

Done. 

(Although the crib will remain in the room until Sammy is old enough for the bottom bunk.)

Then I snagged the comforters at Garden Ridge on sale for $14.99 each.  Score!

I new I wanted comforters that will grow with the kids.  Plus the lime and orange stips accent my "fun" fabric!

So cute!!

I see window treatments and pillow shams in the room with these little guys!

Whatever Wednesday #22

Doin' Whatever Wednesday a little early this week...mainly because I'm afraid I'll forget tomorrow...!?

Anyhoo...my "whatever" today consists on pics of my kiddo's making Valentine crafts at school on Monday.
