Snuggly Buggly Wuggly!!

Yet...another snow day here and I'm getting a little cabin fever.  Being cooped up in the house for a whole week is wearing on me, but its not all too bad.  Some cute memories were made like...

What a week...

Hi everyone!  Phew...what a week its been!

We've been busy over here trying to get life back on track from a weird week.

Our regular sitter (Michael's grandmother) was gone all week due to an ill family member...that meant the kids went to a drop in day care center, which was interesting for the boys.  

Then there was out "camp out" at my SIL's house because of the electricity fiasco!

And when we got home from the "camp out", we found that my older dog had gotten sick... 

ALL OVER MY COUCH!  

Unfortunately, there is no hope for the couch now...the trash men will be hauling it away on Monday.

So that means, re-arranging to entire living room to accommodate two arm chairs instead of the couch...what a mess.  But it ended up being a nice change, so I'll post pics of the "new" living room soon!

So all in all, one CrAzY week, but all is well...at least for now!

Whatever Wednesday #16

Hi all!  Hope everyone had a great Christmas!  Ours was AMAZING!  We had a great time with family and friends and I hope you had the same.

This weeks Whatever Wednesday is just plain cute...

Jack has a courageous fashion sense.

He was standing for a picture but got a little shy.  He decided to dress himself the other day 

(he loves to dress himself)

and he chose an orange and tan stripped shirt with blue plaid shorts...both on backwards.

Whatever Wednesday #13

Hubby has been hogg'n the computer all week making a website for someone...so that means I haven't had a moment to blog until now!  So even though its late, here is my Whatever Wednesday for this week.

Its a cute story I think most parents will relate to.

Me and Jack went to Walmart the other night to do some Christmas shopping for Daddy.  

We went up and down the aisle trying to find those perfect gifts for dad.

Michael mentioned he'd like some cologne, so I got a bottle of cK for him.

Fast forward to last night when Michael and I were discussing Christmas presents, etc. and Jack walks in and matter-factly states...

"Daddy!  Me and mommy went to the store...at last night (how he says yesterday)...and got a present for you!  It was a little bottle...with water in it...in a little box!"  

Nice.  I looked over at Michael, who was smirking, and I said, 

"I bet you can't guess what that is!?"

In The Red

DO NOT BE ALARMED!

It's just marker...

 Isn't that terrible looking?!

Michael showed me the pic...he had stolen a red marker from Jack when he was coloring a picture.  I just about had a heart attack!

You can't see in the pic, but he also colored the entire right side of his head!  Luckily, it was washable...and non-toxic.  Phew...

Bedding Boo Boo

So I think everyone remembers that I wanted to re-do Jacks room in a Toy Story theme...?

And I've been collecting stuff to for his new room, including a comforter and shame set I snagged at Walmart for on $20!!!  I was going to save it for Christmas but I thought...what the heck.

SCORE!

Of course Jack was excited and thanked me for his new bed spread by cutting a few holes in it.
Not. Even. Kidding.
He found my scissors and went to work.

I sewed em up and smothered em with Liquid Stitch but the damage is done.

Oh well, on to the room.

Whatever Wednesday #9

Hey folks, doing Whatever Wednesday a little late this week.  Time just got away from me!

And Sam hasn't been feeling too good...poor baby :(

And getting ready to decorate the house for Halloween right on time a little late as well.  YIKES!

But anyhoo, check out Jack...crazy guy.

Going on a quick trip to Walmart with daddy...and this is what he chose to wear...?

Elmo house shoes, handy man tool pj pants, a Chewbaca t-shirt, and to top it all off...a Spider Man beanie cap.  STYL'N!

I have to say that I just LOVE  this stage in children...the dress-up stage!

They have the funniest ideas on dress-up and costumes...so adorable!

PJ Party in the Tub!?

So we got Sam out of the bath the other night...got him all dressed in his pj's...he looked so cute!

And as soon as we let him up after getting him ready for bed, he crawled off.

Micahel and I cleaned up all our bedtime gear just in time to hear Jack (who was still in the tub) yell...

"Mommy!  Sam's in the bath!!!"

Yup.  He climbed into the bath with Jack right after getting him out of the bath and dressed...

This Room is Baby Powder Fresh!

So the other night, I could hear the boys laughing and giggling.  I just smiled and was so happy that they were playing nicely, so I decided to take a peek...!

Oh yeah, their laughing alright...

because Jack emptied an entire bottle of baby powder ALL OVER Sam's room.

Here he is coating Sam's toy box.

He felt the need to sprinkle baby powder on everything in the room...

Took 2 nights to clean it all up..the vacuum started smelling like burnt baby powder!

Jack's gone GOTHIC!

So hubby was home alone with the boys the other night while I was out working.

He told me he thought to himself..."Man, its quiet...?  Awesome.  Why is Ginger always complaining about the noise.  How come Ginger thinks the boys are noisy...?"  

He went back to "Michael business" for a second and then decided it would be wise to check everything out.

Enter Jack in the bathroom...applying black nail polish (that's been rolling around in the drawer since last Halloween)...

ON HIS HEAD!

 Seriously?

Not sure what he was thinking here...
How do you go from trying to paint your nails, black of all colors, to painting your forehead?

But then, Jack has had fun before with the nail polish.

A Tale of Two Flippies

First off, I will apologize in advance that there will be no pics with this post (none of mine anyway)...my husband lost the camera...ah huh.

So we will be without a camera until either he finds it (unlikely) or until we can save up enough $$$ to buy a new one (unlikely).

But on to my story.  Its a sad story of two brothers, flip flop one and flip flop two.  They were separated by fate and then reunited unexpectedly!

My husband and I went out to dinner tonight and of course...it started POURING RAIN outside.  I thought my van was going to float away.  We hung as long as we could to wait it out, but Sam was getting impatient.

Oh well, a little rain never hurt anyone.  Tell that to my right flip flop!

In trying to run hobble to the van (my feet sinking into about 4 inches of water) my flip flop was ripped of my foot and carried away...far away, down the parking lot!  So sad.

The one still attached to my foot was heartbroken facing the trash can with out its brother...cuz seriously, what would I do with one flippy?  The other facing a long and lonely life in the storm sewer.

We pulled out of the parking space me scolding my husband for not getting to my shoe fast enough when alas!  A kind stranger got out of his car to rescue my flip flop!!  Yeah!!!!!

Moral of the story...make your husband pull the car up to the door in the event of in-climate weather.

Summer Fun!

Gett'n ready for summer by swimming up a storm!  Last week, we made a quick trip to the lake!

Jack was NOT a fan...

He kept saying, "I don't like this water! I don't like this water!".

But Sam...LOVED IT.  We bought a little blow-up baby boat and he drifted around with me, swaying in the waves.

Meanwhile, Daddy was stuck on shore with Mr. Fusspot (aka Jack).

So we're heading to Mimi and Papi's house this afternoon to swim at their house.  Jack calls it the "good pool".  LOL!  Love him.

We produce BIG babies...

My husband and I, that is...we produce big babies.

I read a post today, in a fantastic little blog I recently discovered, that mentioned a baby in the 97 percentile of weight and height.  

Wow.

I thought I had given birth to the only one!  

You know, big babies are wonderful, with little chubbs here and there...and the little ham hocks (thighs)!  Super cute, but heavy.  Yup.  Super heavy.  And I am strongly right handed (which means my left is basically useless) so after only a few moments of holding Sam, I feel my right arm will FALL OFF!

Who stank....? Monsters, Stank.

Just a little something that Jack said tonight...

Every night Jackie picks out a movie to watch before bed.  

We went to the movie drawers right after bath to pick out a video (yes, I still have a VCR...in every room).  Daddy and I suggested plenty of good ones...The Lion King, Aladdin, and Pinochio.

Well, Jack disagreed, yelling, "No, I don't wanna watch Nochio! (Pinocchio)  I'm watching Monsters, Stank!(Monsters, Inc.)

We laughed as Jack ran like hell, naked as a jay bird, back to his room with Monsters, Stank under his arm.

Playing with poop!

Oh Lord...it's happened...I caught Jack playing with his cars and poop yesterday. We regularly go around a de-poop the yard. Usually do a good job...I guess we missed a bit this time around!

EEEWWWWW!!  Oh well, I guess it had to happen with a boy sometime.  And don't worry...we got all the poop up and made him wash his hands.  Happy Parenting!!

Cookie Monster lives in my house!

Yesterday, Jack came up to me...he had taken off his shirt, pulled his Cookie Monster costume from last Halloween down from the closet, and "insisted" that I help him put it on.

"I need to wear Cookie Monster", he said. So cute!

Daddy always said he was a little monster...LOL!  Don't you just love that "dress-up" stage all kids go thru?

Potty Training...ug.

Well, we're trying to start potty training for Jack. Not going so well so far. ~sigh~ We've had him in Pull-Ups for a few weeks now, but he just sees those as diapers!



Moved on to underwear today and already had an accident. Any tips for potty training anyone??? Already tried the cheerio in the toilet. He tried to get it out and eat it...
