My Most Sincere Thanks!

Hi everyone...hope you didn't think I dropped of the planet.  Phew!  Things have been nutty!

I'm sure you're all wondering what the heck was going on, and well, I'll disclose a bit, but for right this minute, I want to take a minute to express my most sincere thank you to all of you for your support, sweet comments, prayers, and thoughts for us over the past 2 weeks.

Reading some of those comments literally brought me to tears at one point and to know that folks I'd never met were thinking of me and sending love my way was just too too much...and too kind!

Thank you again!

So we've been thru a lot lately.  Its really been building up for the past few months and honestly, I'm not real sure where I stand right now?

We are experiencing some financial difficulty (who isn't right?) and its hard to cut corners to save when there isn't really any corners left to cut.  That's the main reason I haven't displayed any new and brilliant crafts lately...no doe.  But my husband just secured a second job for a few evenings a week and hopefully, once we get going, we can start to build up our savings again and get back on track with the bills.

Secondly, I've been sick.  Not sure whats going on and my doctor and I have been trying some different therapies to get a handle on it.  I won't get too into it, but a lot of unbearable headaches, joint pain, muscle pain, nausea/vomiting...not fun at all.

And being sick sucks.  Makes you sad...even depressed.  Makes me angry and irritable.  Makes me mean, ug.  So I'm also working on that.

Then the heavy responsibilities of being a working mother, the long hours, dinners, doctor visits...it gets exhausting.  Your husband and children see you as superwoman and hold you on a pedestal.  There is nobody like mommy!  Even superwoman gets overwhelmed.

My husband and I have taken the past 2 weeks to really take a good look at everything and try to make some changes.  We've gotten some suggested books and resources to look over, we've begun to see a family counselor, and have come up with a money plan.  We're covering all bases and hopefully, things will iron out.

In the meantime, I'm gonna keep on truck'n best I can.  I'll be around here, although maybe not as much crafting as I'd like.  So check back often, Mad Skills will resume this Monday.  And where I tried to post everyday in the past, it just may not be in the cards at the moment.

  1. Sounds like you're doing the best you can to manage everything -- no one can ask for more. Take care!

  2. Thank you for sharing all that you are going through. I think many of us can relate to at least one of those items, if not more so you aren't alone. I know how hard it is to want to craft away and yet the craft budget is next to zero . . . hang in there . . .it will get better one penny at a time!!

  3. I feel you on the money struggles...I hope that you guys get it all figured out. Us too for that matter;)
All I can do right now is stay home and figure out ways for us to not spend money and pray that things get better.

  5. I'm glad you're back, Ginger. I'm so sorry to hear about all the troubles you and your family are going through right now. Being sick and having financial challenges are very stressful, so I'm glad you and your hubby are trying to take some steps in alleviating some of those problems.

If you need me to do a guest blog tutorial for you, I'd be glad to. :)

    Cheers,
