My very first award...sniffle. I just can't believe it! My Frugal Lifestyle was awesome enough to give me this sweet! Thank you Stephanie!

Now for the guidelines of Paying it Forward!!

1.Post the award.

2.Thank and mention the person who gave you the award.

3.Pass the award on to seven bloggers whom you think embody the spirit of the Kreativ Blogger Award.

4.Name seven things about yourself that others don't know.

5.Don’t forget to notify your seven Kreativ Bloggers about their AWARD and post links to their blogs.

Alrighty...the award goes to...

#1 Fireflies and Jellybeans because she has always got something awesome cooking up!

#2 The Gift Closet because she inspired me to create Appleseed Gifts!

#3 My Thoughts and Treasures because she is a gifted writer with fab commentary!

#4 That's So Cuegly because she has some great beauty tips...and I need all the help I can get...

#6 Helping Little Hands because I love her felt food cook-along! Great work!

#7 Life in the Pitts because she's a great writer with awesome crafts!

And as for the 7 things you don't about me...alright, here goes nothin'.

#1 I HATE having my elbow skin touched...eewwww! Can't stand it and my husband totally uses that against me. He doesn't fight fair.

#2 Can't drive a stick shift...sorry.

#3 I have 2 dogs, Turkish and Lily, and 1 cat, Bonjoure.

#4 I vacuum like 3 times a week..can't stand walking around and having stuff stick to my feet. Yuck.

#5 I cannot function in the morning without at least 2 cups of coffee...but I am trying to wean myself down to just one. I've been cranky.

#6 I volunteer at my son's preschool! Love it and me and Sam (my 8mth old) have a great time!

#7 I am TERRIFIED of zombies...cannot watch ANY zombie movie...I'll be awake at night for days if I watch a zombie movie. And I am convinced that someday, some crazy scientist will doom us all by making zombies a reality. Seriously!

Awww...this was great! Hope you all enjoyed that as much as I did! Congrats to those I forwarded the award to and thanks Stephanie from the bottom of my heart!

Cheesy Baked Pasta

This recipe was actually an accident...I had planned on just plain ole spaghetti but discovered I was out of spaghetti noodles. Hmmm....what to do? So I looked around at what I had on hand...certainly wasn't going to load up the whole clan just to go get spaghetti noodles!

So, I just kinda threw something together and this ended up being one of the most popular recipes I have ever done. Seriously.

Now, it does take some work in the kitchen...not really a 15 minute meal, but it is good, wholesome, and produces happy faces with plenty of leftovers for tomorrow night! Happy Cooking!

Cheesy Baked Pasta

This is a three part recipe: meat sauce, white cheese sauce, and baked pasta. An inexpensive recipe that has delicious results!!

2 cups pasta sauce
1 pound ground beef; optional (can substitute turkey)
3 cups macaroni or ziti pasta
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1 ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
grated nutmeg to taste
salt/pepper to taste
1 tbsp Italian seasoning

Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Fill large stock pot up to 2/3 full and bring to boil. Brown ground meat in skillet; add salt/pepper to taste. When water is at a rolling boil, add pasta. While meat is browning and pasta cooking, put cream in a sauce pan over med heat. Shred cheddar and mozzarella cheeses and set aside. Add pasta sauce to ground meat to heat through. Once cream is at a slight simmer, add half of the shredded cheeses. Stir to thicken and melt cheese. Add freshly grated nutmeg, pepper, and Italian seasoning to cheese sauce. Check pasta, strain and add to meat sauce. Pour pasta and meat sauce into a 2 qt baking dish. Pour cheese sauce over the pasta; no need to mix in. Top with the remaining cheese and bake for 15-20 minutes until warmed through and the cheese is golden on top. Serve with salad.

Happy Cooking!
