Happy Mother's Day!

Hi all!  First and foremost, Happy Mothers Day to you all!
Sorry I have been a little absent this week...computer issues~sigh~

Anyways, I have a cool tut today!  I have been tirelessly working in perfecting a tut for making cloth diapers...I'm almost there and I will have a great tutorial for everyone very soon!

My tut is related to cloth diapers.  Today, I'll show you how to make a doubler...the absorbency insert for cloth diapers, so here we go!

What you need:
fabric (ANY scrap will do) I used left over flannel from this project and micro-fleece left over from this project
sewing machine
scissors
wash clothe (for measuring)
Tri-fold the wash cloth and cut using that as the pattern template like below.
Gather your fabric in the layer in which you wanna use.  I put the micro-fleece on the outside to pull moisture away from baby's bottom.
Sew zig zag all around the edges and down the middle to prevent the inner layer from moving around.
All done!
I have made a ton of these quickly and easily from scrap fabric!  Throw an extra one of these into your cloth diapers for extra absorbency!

  2. Great idea! I don't use cloth diapers, but if I did... I would do this!
